I used to be a singer and music teacher. Now I write and run an altered vintage plate business.
With over four years of experience in Chronicpainland I mostly feel as if I am coping well and hope that I have something to offer others struggling through the grief, confusion, and darkness that can come with a migraine-filled life.
I also still need buckets of support, so this blog remains a way to connect with others who are experiencing similar challenges, share strategies and resources, and navigate my emotions in a way that is perhaps more constructive than crying into the empty pan that held an entire cake only moments before (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
Beyond that, I am striving to use my experiences and writing as advocacy tools. I believe western medicine and society as a whole have a long way to go to properly support people living with chronic pain.
Thanks for stopping by!
